Greater Rochester Association of Malayalees

The Greater Rochester Malayalee community lives around the mid size city of Rochester NY, which is the gateway to the beautiful Finger Lakes area. Organization dedicated to uniting the local Keralite population of the Greater Rochester and Finger-Lakes area through our cultural initiatives. Main Events are Onam and Christmas celebrations and Family Picnics. Also there are educational programs such as Malayalam Language Classes. Greater Rochester Association of Malayalees, New York. We are a community whose roots in this area go back to the early 1930s. We see ourselves as an organization dedicated to uniting the local Keralite population of the Greater Rochester and Finger-Lakes area through our cultural initiatives. Towards the fulfillment of this goal, we will organize cultural programs which function as our ?unifying? events (Onam and Christmas celebrations, Family Picnics and the like) and educational programs such as Malayalam Language Classes. As our organization matures, we see ourselves getting involved in different community activities benefiting both the Local Rochester area and people around the globe. This will be achieved by encouraging volunteerism, charitable donations, and by organizing community events for benefitting worthy causes.
